Mansion project – interior design in traditional style

We are pleased to present you a special project in which the interior designers from Studio inSIGN have worked with passion to render through a successful concept an unmistakable design: that of the boyar mansions of former times created by using a mix of styles like traditional and rustic, combined with authentic romanian motifs or religious motifs.

It is about an eclectic mansion project, a combination between the traditional Romanian and the traditional Austrian, with religious and rustic romanian motifs.

The mansion comprises several types of spaces and functions, as follows: restaurant, apartment with bathroom, rooms with bathrooms and attic. The common note of these spaces are the typical finishes of a boyar mansion and the elements of traditional and rustic architecture.

This space continues the line of design used for restaurant, which I presented here, but at the same time contains some original elements. An example would be the treatment of storage spaces above the bathroom and in the living room. This was inspired by the traditional “houses”. The living room stove gives the room a slightly retro look.

The specialists Studio inSIGN have proposed an ancient floor, accessorized by carpets that have traditional romanian motifs, and for the ceiling they have chosen wooden beams. For the walls, our designers used white brick and plaster, following the design concept in the restaurant.

This room acquires a warmer and more relaxing note by using an antique wood paneling at the end of the bed. The painted Romanian motifs are on the cornice that connects the ceiling and the walls.

The antique frescoes represent the proposed accent to introduce the clients in the story and atmosphere of these rooms.

The bathroom continues the design style of the room, so we will find romanian motifs on the finishes of the walls, which integrate this space in the general design.

The concept of room design focuses on brick and wood finishes, decorated with frescoes and lighting.

The dark wood furniture typical of the boyar mansions brings a note of authenticity to the space. Regarding decorations, they chose as the main piece an antique icon placed above the bed.

An interesting detail of the designing is the color accent introduced in the upholstery of the chairs and armchair, used as an accent.

Bathroom concept design

The concept of interior design combines materials such as brick and antique plaster. At the top of the countertop from the sinks, the interior architects inserted a ceramic portion to protect the walls. For the floor, they chose an antique-type ceramic finish.

The interior architects carry out various types of interior design projects: hotel projects, restaurant projects, also historic houses projects and house restorations.

Mansion restaurant – eclectic design project

In this article we will reveal the story of a restaurant design project, as part of a larger project – a traditional style mansion.

The design of this project was inspired by the old noblemen houses. In other words, the finishing materials, the furniture and all the accessories were chosen so as to faithfully reproduce those elements that we can still admire in restored mansions, historical monument houses or traditional houses.

The concept of design was created by our interior architects focusing on materials such as tile, brick, decorative paint or wood. For example, for the floor, our specialists used rectangular cut tiles, arranged in herringbone style (at 45 degrees).

The designers have proposed the apparent brick and antique plaster for the treatment of walls, typical of the boyar mansions. The passing from one material to another is gradual, so that the final finish looks like a natural peeling paint.

At the same time, this gradual transition gave to the designers the opportunity to highlight brick and arches. The plaster blends perfectly with the carpentry of dark wood.

The walls show special details, such as the cincture in the area between the ceiling and the wall with windows or the painted details (frescoes) of religious inspiration. These decorative details were made at the request of the client who offered images to the designers as model.

Our interior architects brought to light certain elements that had previously been a drawback, for example, the two poles that they transformed into attractions by “dressing” them with natural stone or plaster. They also added some wooden beams to create an authentic atmosphere.

A successful combination is the semi-austere carpentry, the glazed windows with painted stained glass and the embroidered semi-transparent curtains.

The lighting solutions proposed by our architects emphasize the boyish aspect of the room. These are inspired by the old wooden chandeliers. The architects has chosen two types of wall sconces.

In the concept of interior design was included wooden furniture of essence enclosed in the style of the manor houses, complete with textiles. The traditional Romanian motifs can be found on the carpets in the traffic and fireplace area.

 

The introduction of the fireplace and the two armchairs was done in order to create a warm and welcoming appearance. In the dining room area, the designers created a more intimate ambience with the help of a slightly different furniture.

The interior architects Studio inSIGN treated the whole space like a museum, here being found: typical tableware shelves, handmade elements such as a sewing machine and traditional clothing items placed in showcases and enriched with a red velvet finish and LED light perimeter that highlight them.

This restaurant project represents a mix of styles, from traditional Austrian to traditional Romanian, with rustic style textiles, elements with religious motifs that together make up a decor with a special atmosphere as in the interiors of the boyar mansions of yesteryear.

Camera de hotel in stil modern-contemporan cu accente luxury

Decorul acestei camere de hotel creat de echipele Noblesse Interiors si inSIGN se aliniaza conceptului general de amenajare propus de designerii nostri pentru Golden Lake, un hotel care gazduieste un centru medical pentru tratamente balneo si care are in dotare cabinete medicale, o piscina cu apa sarata, sali de evenimente si conferinte, restaurant a la carte si autoservire.

The designers have proposed for these hotel rooms the modern-contemporary style with luxurious accents. The finishes and all the decoration pieces have been carefully chosen to integrate in the design of the space the elements specific to the brand, an increasingly important detail for our clients. The wood-plated wall has metallic bronze inserts that help create a warm and natural environment, so elegant and precious. This gold-metal-wood combination is also found in other hotel areas such as reception.

The design concept for this hotel room focuses on mixing three materials: wood, leather and velvet. For example, we find a decorative panel and pieces of wood furniture, emerald green velvet drapes, bronze finishes. The room acquires personality through atypical finishes for this kind of spaces as cement, and extravagant colors such as the marshall chair or fucsia table.

The interior design project for a hotel must take into account the identity of the hotel as a whole, but also the particular features of each space – from reception, event rooms, restaurant to rooms and bathrooms. All these requirements and details have been embedded in this hotel room designed by the inSIGN team, which offers practical and creative solutions and personalized design.

The room and bathroom offer a unitary interior design that meets the highest expectations of a demanding clients who appreciates quality and good taste. InSIGN has chosen objects of scandinavian inspiration pieces.

For the wall behind the bed, our specialists have chosen wallpaper representing a woman’s face that reflects an urban landscape. The bed board was specially designed with smaller dimensions to highlight the wallpaper.

The office furniture and luggage compartment on the opposite has metallic structure painted in bronze and wood and is remarkable for its bold design. The minimalistic silhouette of these pieces avoids the effect of overloading space.

The minimalist design, typical of the Scandinavian style, is found in the sanitary ware in the bathroom. Here the decor is based on the white contrast and the natural shades of wood

Camera hotel de 5 stele: concept de design interior in stil modern

Being large and complex, design projects for hotels require not only the creativity of designers, but also inventiveness, attention to details and finding the best functional solutions. inSIGN’s large projects include a 5-star hotel in Bucharest. In this article we aim to detail the concept of interior design that our specialists have created for the rooms of this hotel.

Our designers have approached modern-contemporary style in designing this hotel room. An important role has been given to the lighting system, which is asymmetric (right-left). As you can see from the images, there are several types of lighting: ceiling-mounted bodies, bed and table lamps, floor lamps, etc.

In this project the focus is on warm and relaxing colors which help you to sleep, complemented by a strong accent as turquoise. The bed is the central piece and its oversized bed board is made of textile. The camera is equipped with all necessary storage pieces.

The interior designers have found interesting solutions for bathroom, for which they chose the same style and a palette of colors based on contrasts. For example, neutral colors make a inedited contrast with the wall covered with finish Aparici finish, which is highlighted by the pattern of different textures.

Casa fermecatoare readusa la viata – design in stil contemporary luxury

When the magical hand of a talented designer works, the interior space can be transformed and modeled in such a way that the new arrangement to become unrecognizable. We try to demonstrate it through an example of a house whose story will be detailed in this article.

The collaboration with the owners began with detailed discussions so as to the inSIGN team to understand their desires and identify the style which represent them. Once this stage done, the collaboration went easy, and finally resulted a refined interior, which for clients is the ideal home.

Interior designers and architects inSIGN use their know-how to create personalized spaces where the most important requirements – design, comfort and functionality – co-exist in a perfect harmony, and the interior design project for this house doesn’t make exception.

The team mixed materials, textures and colors, so the design created by them faithfully reflects the idea of comfort and contemporary elegance. Decorative elements have been carefully introduced into design scheme to complement each other.

The open-space area consists of a living room, a dining area, a piano and a kitchen. Thus, on a neutral background, we notice strong accents of color, such as black or red, and precious accents, such as silver finishes and gold inserts. In living room, we can see onyx incised with precious materials at fireplace. The racks, lighting fixtures and a piece of furniture come from Eichholtz, an internationally recognized brand.

The dining area is both elegant and welcoming. The glass countertop of the table resonates with the metal surfaces present in the arrangement. The kitchen features the same color palette, with a strogn accent – red color. The furniture and top appliances reflect the same attention of designers for quality and good taste.

This project harmoniously blends design and luxury into an interior that celebrates the idea of being handsome and functional and which is itself an invitation to relax.

Casa-Departe de oras- Amenajare locuinta clasica

Studio Insign designers created a classic style design project. The style was not randomly chosen, but because it fitted perfectly both the architecture of the house and the owners’ lifestyle. Studio Insign designers made the 3D kitchen design in a Provence style, the 3D living room project, the 3D master bedroom project, the 3D dining room project and the 3D project for a relaxion area for this house located in a residential area, away from the noisy city life. Finishes and furniture pieces have been purchased from Noblesse Galleries. All furniture is made of wood, this being one of the features of Provence style. Studio Insign designers also made the 3D project for the classic-style master bedroom. The furniture used is from Mythos and Eros Collections, available at Noblesse Galleries. The room is special because the owner wanted a bathtub placed in the bedroom, a detail that draws attention. The area where the bathtub was placed was tiled with sandstone from Luxury Collection and the “Epoca” bath is part of the classic bathtubs collection of Noblesse Galleries. We created a relaxation area in the bay window of the house. We opted for lower sofas created in an oriental style by our designers. Exotic woods and fabrics that mimic traditional oriental leather and textiles have been used. To enhance design originality, Studio Insign designers chose lighting fixtures and accessories of the same style. Designers counted on the blend of modern and functional style with the classic, decorative style. In the 3D dining project, designers chose pieces of furniture from Noblesse Galleries, guaranteeing quality and aesthetics. In the 3D project for the living-room TV, Studio Insign designers highlighted the space for relaxation. That’s why we chose a very comfortable sofa and armchairs, purchased from Noblesse Galleries.
